In a change of pace from the lush and groovy electronic sound that
producer/songwriter Charles Lyons has established as Coastal, Les Char’s debut EP “OBSIDIENNE” is unrelentingly gritty and louder than ever before. Tracks like “computer man” and “womp womp womp” bring harsh distortion to the traditional techno sound , while “haste!” and “RESTORE POWER” introduce downtempo and drum & bass elements.

"Originally going to be kept a secret, I started this side project just to have fun" says Lyons of the projects origins. "After exploring a lot of genres over the past few years I felt called back to what inspired me to make music in the first place; high energy dance music."
